Participant Rules- Tournament Draft Mode

General Rules:

  • ï‚·  Abide by the Summoner’s Code for in-game play.

  • ï‚·  Respect all teams, players, and event staff.

  • ï‚·  No cellphones once you’re in pre-game lobby.

Stoppage Rules:

  • ï‚·  If a player experiences technical issues, they may call a game restart prior to first blood within the first 5 minutes of the game (before the timer shows 5:00). Issues included in this rule are hardware malfunctions, a physical disruption, or configuration issues. Player must declare the issue in public chat or to a tournament administrator, and then intentionally disconnect. Once the player disconnects the game is considered void and should be re-started unless a tournament administrator determines that the conduct represents unfair play.

  • ï‚·  If an unintentional disconnection occurs within 5 minutes from the start of the match & before first blood OR a player’s client crashes or fails to load after champion selection, then the match must be restarted. Otherwise if the unintentional disconnection occurs after those milestones, the game will continue as normal. The crashed player may reconnect into a game as soon as they are able.

  • ï‚·  If a player intentionally disconnects without specifying a reason, then the game will continue as normal.

  • ï‚·  If a server crash occurs, then the tournament director will decide between (a) restarting the game or (b) rewarding the game to one of the teams. As a guideline, the game victory will only be awarded in a situation where one team was one the verge of a certain defeat.

  • ï‚·  If a player experiences any of the above stated issues after the 5 minute mark, a pause may be called for up to 5 minutes only. The player needs to get the attention of a tournament administrator first. Once the issue is resolved the game is to continue as normal. If the issue cannot be resolved within the 5 minutes, the game will either be forfeited by the team with the issue, or the game will continue 4 v. 5.

Unfair Play: The following are grounds for elimination:

  • ï‚·  The use of any cheat program and/or hack program.

  • ï‚·  Intentionally allowing an opponent to win a game.

  • ï‚·  Unsportsmanlike or inappropriate behaviour towards other players or tournament staff.

  • ï‚·  Playing on an account that is not your main account.

Player Substitution Rules:

  • ï‚· Teams are to declare their substitutes prior to pre-game activities in written format.

Rule Changes:

  • ï‚· The tournament administrators reserve the right to change or modify any of the rules at any time, for any legitimate reason.
