What is the League of Legends:

Niagara Tournament?

We invite you to take your place, get an ace, come and see how victory tastes at the inaugural League of Legends: Niagara Tournament hosted by the Niagara College, Event Management program. The tournament is directed towards students who play League of Legends, who have an interest in the game or enjoy competitive atmospheres. League of Legends: Niagara Tournament provides current players within Ontario the opportunity to participate at a local tournament in the Niagara Region. Those who are not participating in the tournament will get a chance to experience themed food and beverage, meet and greet with other players and fans, and photo opportunities available with cosplay League of Legends characters. The tournament will be hosted on Saturday March 7th, 2015 between the hours of 12:00pm- 10:00pm at the Niagara College Welland Campus.

League of Legends holds the record for most watched eSport event which was a total of 8.2 million people. “With 1.1 million streaming the event at the same time. They eclipse mass market stream figures, too. The British royal wedding in 2011 hit 300,000 concurrent viewers on Livestream.com, and the YouTube stream of the 2012 Olympics reached a peak of 500,000 people at once.” – Rich McCormick

Each year, one local non-profit organization is chosen by the Many Hands Committee to receive their assistance. Together, the students plan and execute the entire process including; completing the desired renovations, involving the community through volunteer recruitment and raising awareness for the non-profit organization.
